This Spring has brought on a lot of new experiences, but none have been as good as that of working with our local Single A Minor League Baseball Team, the Bowling Green Hot Rods. They are the affiliate to the Tampa Bay Rays, and fortunately located 10 minutes away from my apartment.

The experience so far has been great, I create website content, LED content, and video board content. The LED and video board content get played throughout the game, so everyone gets to see my work, which is just a great feeling. I also get to run the LED and video board. The season opener is Sunday, April 11, 2010 so I haven’t gotten to run it during a game yet, but am looking forward to it.

The experience of an internship is unbeatable, you can practice on your own all you want but until you get out and actually do things for real clients, you won’t feel accomplished. I wouldn’t trade the experience, the work, or the friends for anything.

Have you ever heard of it?

Maybe, maybe not, but if you are around the Bowling Green, Kentucky area, there is a good chance that you will be seeing some of their work.

It is the only Student-run Advertising and Public Relations agency in the nation. Real clients, real projects, and real deadlines is what the agency is all about. Located on the third floor of Western Kentucky University’s Mass Media and Technology Hall, the agency has amazing international reach, along with local influence and recognition.

I must say that while very impressed with the agency and their work, I am not currently a member of the team. I have applied for an internship for the Fall 2010 semester, but feel that this information about the agency must be spoken.

I have recently updated the landing page over at ClayCauleyink.com. Aside from the BLOG link there is another link hidden somewhere on the page that could reward the surfer who finds it in a big way.

Ok, probably not, BUT, if someone does take the time to look around and snoop, they will find a link that takes them to the preview site for what ClayCauleyink will look like upon completion. As of today the only two pages completed on the final design are the About and Home pages, the rest are under construction, but you could be the one allowed to look at them should you find this link. You’ll definitely know when you’ve found it, no worries there.

The big thing with this is that I am trying to spur interest and excitement for the upcoming release/launch of the site. I am also wanting to get some feedback and opinions as to how I can make things better, and improve the overall site.

Now, go find that mystery.

So today was a pretty boring day and left me with the time to design a little something quick, such as these sticky tabs…combining the Sticker icon set and a simple tabbed design.

This icon set is finally finished…had a little more time today than I thought I would and was able to complete them quicker than I thought I would.
